Anything will help. I really believe it damages our property values for the streets to be in such poor condition. The first will begin within a few days. The last phase, a stretch of Louisville and Knoxville, will begin in the fall.<br /><br />Most of the work involves new roadbed and paving, some curbs and a few driveways. Improving drainage is one of the priorities of these projects- and that includes leveling areas and installing larger drains.<br /><br />Refer to the map at the above link for more details. I am not a fan of speed bumps, additonal stop signs etc. I am a fan of holding Tulsa Police accountable. Instead of creating more tools to stop speeding lets hold ourselves accountable and call TPD each and every time we see a problem. Lets also not let our kids play in the streets. I also think that wasting Tulsa City Councils and TPD&#39;s time, money, and resources on speeding issues let us focus more of real crime like gun fire at 41st and Yale. Or 51st and Yale or 61st and Peoria. Or north Tulsa. <br /><br />Tulsa has more serious issues. We have speed limit signs. Little postings in yards or speed bumps is wasting your money or annoying the law abiding drivers of this neighborhood. I was told tonight that the signs are tacky by a neighbor and I don&#39;t necessarily disagree, but I just don&#39;t know what else to do. Having a 2 year old and anyone who has had children knows, they like to &#39;test&#39; their parents and that includes with the street. I personally think the speed humps need to be on Pittsburg, 46th Street, 45th Street, &amp; 47th Place. Because of the negative response from the neighborhood at the time the City did not install them. It is probably too late to go through the &quot;Red Tape&quot; involved with getting the City to install them at this time. We will be having a Neighborhood Association Meeting to discuss the Excessive Traffic &amp; Speeding through our Neighborhood due to the Construction on I-44 at Harvard. The Meeting will be Tues., Nov. 9th, at 6:30p in the Patrick Henry Elem. Councilor Bynum and the Tulsa Police have been invited to listen to concerns and answer questions.
